• Main Street Washington NEW OFFICE at Greiner Plaza! Just last week, we moved into our new home at Greiner Plaza, 120 E Main St, Suite 6A. We are thrilled to be on Main Street with some great ‘neighbors’ like Thrivent, WEDG & WCRF (and obviously, Greiner Buildings)! We will be celebrating with the whole building on Friday, August 2nd so mark your calendars to join us for a Ribbon Cutting w/a POP at 3pm! There’ll be music, food, drinks & desserts (it’s also Sam’s birthday 😀 ) , we can’t wait to celebrate with you all!

• Gray’s Pet Supply is moving into the space at 208 S Marion (where Triple M used to be)! The shop will carry dog & cat supplies AND will help to support Whitney’s non-profit Gray Canine Rescue & Rehab ❤️ Follow their page & stay tuned for their official open date with a Red Carpet Celebration.

• It’s Christmas in July! MSW is celebrating by opening Lights of Love Memorial Tree reservations! We have a limited number of trees, and 50 are already reserved! Get yours today by going here or emailing us - [email protected]

Good to Know

• You may have noticed some construction at La Morenita Tienda y Taquiera; this Spring, they received a DIG grant and have been working to expand their store and add seating for their restaurant! We can’t wait to see it finished, in the meantime, you can still go in to get groceries or take out!

• Branding service received from Main Street Iowa! We are incredibly excited to announce that Main Street Washington was selected to receive a professional branding service through MSI. This service is valued at $15,000 and will take place over the next few months. Our application was bolstered by the support of our wonderful volunteers and the Hotel/Motel committee. We can’t wait to see the outcome of this program and are eager to get started. Part of the process will include community input, if you’d like to be involved, let Sam know!

• The date has been set for Farm to Film Fest 2025! Mark your calendars to attend this fantastic event on April 12 & 13, 2025.

• Fundraising continues for new mural panels! We still have some Bike Kewash shirts available, funds from the shirt sales will go towards the first mural panel! Get yours here for only $10 & pick up from our office. (only sizes large & 2X left).
