• Triple M Nutrition has moved! Stop in to see Maddie at her new location within Purposefully You Boutique & Home (107 W 2nd St). She’s still whipping up delicious drinks & treats on the daily for you!

• Jaz It Up Boutique is closing it’s doors after 18 amazing years! Owner, Aimee, has absolutely loved bringing fashion to our community but it’s time for her to slowdown and spend more time with her wonderful kids & grandkids. If you’ve ever wanted to own a boutique, stop in to talk with her, she’d be happy to hand the business over to the right person ❤️ The entire store is currently 40%!

• You may have noticed some construction at La Morenita Tienda y Taquiera; this Spring, they received a DIG grant and have been working to expand their store and add seating for their restaurant! We can’t wait to see it finished, in the meantime, you can still go in to get groceries or take out!

• Lynn & Shelby’s Home Decor & More has opened a second store in Mt Pleasant and Korner Kremery has opened another location in Burlington! We are so excited for them to grow and flourish!

• Paul Heath from SBDC visited yesterday to share information & services available to small businesses in our area. Venture School, Credit Collateral Programs, Financing Resources and more were shared! Check out some of the programs here or contact Sam if you’d like more info.

• The Power of the Sign Downtown Forum will be held in Wellman, IA on Wednesday, June 19th. This is a free forum but registration is required (here). If you’re interested in learning more about signage in our downtown you’re welcome to join us!

• Branding service received from Main Street Iowa! We are incredibly excited to announce that Main Street Washington was selected to receive a professional branding service through MSI. This service is valued at $15,000 and will take place over the next few months. Our application was bolstered by the support of our wonderful volunteers and the Hotel/Motel Commitee. We can’t wait to see the outcome of this program and are eager to get started. Part of the process will include community input, if you’d like to be involved, let Sam know!

• MSW is moving our office! In July, MSW will be moving into the renovated Greiner Building Suites. This move put us back on Main Street and free up the space we’re currently in to be better utilized as a boutique/retail space! Stay tuned for our Red Carpet Celebration once we’re settled!
