Our downtown footprint is growing! We are thrilled to welcome several new businesses that have opened their doors recently. Next time you’re out for a stroll, make sure to stop in and say hello to these entrepreneurs:

• Pixie House + Gardens (118 E Washington St): A magical addition for those looking to add some greenery and heavenly scents to their homes.

• Connelly’s Trading Cards (106 E Main St): A must-visit for collectors and hobbyists looking for that rare find.

• Iron & Ivy Consignment (124 W Main St): Sustainable style and unique treasures await at this new consignment boutique.

• Adin’s Music Studio (219 W Main St): Bringing the gift of music to our downtown—perfect for aspiring musicians of all ages.

Inaugural EmpowHER Wellness Social: This isn't just a night out; it’s an opportunity to invest in your own well-being while supporting local students. Join us at Libations on Iowa for an evening designed by women, for women.

• When: May 7th | 4p – 6:30p

• Where: Libations on Iowa

• Admission: The "Dignity Drive." In lieu of a ticket, please bring a donation for the Washington Kindness Klosets (entry levels on our FB event).

• Most Needed Items: Tampons (Pearl or U-shaped applicators), travel-sized deodorant (Old Spice is the #1 request!), neutral-scented face/body wash, hair ties, and dental floss.

Do you have a vision for your downtown property? We are here to help make it a reality. Our Downtown Investment Grant (DIG) program is designed to support exterior improvements and historic preservation.

Whether you are looking to refresh your facade or tackle a larger renovation, we encourage property and business owners to apply. We particularly prioritize projects that enhance pedestrian-visible signage and our overall streetscape.
